I have lots of experience with nets and take frequent batting practice with some great softball players. This net is as strong as they make. To me there is only 1 comparable product – the pitchsafe. The pitchsafe is smaller and costs a lot more but it’s more portable and sets up a bit more quickly. If you travel a bunch, portability is an absolute must and every second counts, I’d go with the pitchsafe. I just got Leupold Gr 10-20X40Mm Compact Spotting Scope Brown 61080 Mixed opinion, changed how we use itBy PlankwingMy wife and I (birders) got this when they first came to market (2002 or so?). We used it some hand held which worked to some extent at various powers. However, we already had Canon IS binos so were used to the stable image obtained with them so we didn’t find this scope compelling hand held. We put it on a mono-pod which my wife already used as a hiking stick and it was then more usable. Even so, the IS binos always trumped this scope so it effectively went to storage. Fast forward to early 2010. We bought a Kowa TSN-883 Prominar ED 88mm spotting scope and soon found it difficult to “find” the desired subject because of the angled eyepiece. The “finder” line cast into the side of the shade was nearly useless for aligning on a subject, not the least of which was having to bend down and try to move the scope while feeling nearly off balance. Then there was the problem of dominant eye … I am “left” eyed … plus my neck injury … solution needed.The languishing Leupold scope captured my eye when rummaging through our photo equipment and it seemed it could be used as a finder scope for the Kowa. With a bit of planing, some aluminum, the tools at hand, and a couple hours of work, I built a mount that holds the Leupold above the Kowa. It is sized so that the eyepiece of the Leupold is in the same arc as the eyepiece of the Kowa, so a simple tilt of the head moves the eye from one scope to the other. See this KOHLER K-T14423-4-CP Purist Rite-Temp Valve Trim, Polished Chrome Polished, clean lookBy SandyWI purchased this to use in an existing shower as an update. I wanted to match new faucets, though I purchased Kohler Taboret faucets first. I did not like the Taboret trim for the shower with the plastic around it and exposed mounting screws, and chose this Purist one that had a similar handle. It is clean and I love the handle. When it was installed we noticed that the sleeve (cylindrical) just under where the handle is attached is free to slide a little, so that part seemed odd though you don’t notice if you keep the sleeve as close to the handle as possible, leaving no gap. The way it is attached to the valve is very nice with no exposed screws on the outside which is very clean and nice looking. I am very happy with this valve trim in polished chrome, and it works just as it should. If you look at it (photos) in the other finishes that are not polished, and not the polished chrome which is so reflective in the photos, you can see it more for what it actually is. The reflections on the polished surface in the photos give illusions of things in the chrome that are actually not there, otherwise.
