Lucky for my dogs they are crated only when they eat and never more than 1/2 hr, otherwise I use their pen instead so they can have their blanket and toys.
This is NOT meant for long sessions in the cage/crate – only good for short sessions unless you have a VERY lightweight dog.
It suits my needs but I would NOT recommend this if you house your dog for longer than 1/2 hr-1 hr a day. It also depends on the dog’s weight. Lighter dogs would have longer comfort on this pad but I can see heavier dogs having an issue with compression of the pad and pressure points fairly quickly. My dogs are in the 12-15 lb range and are fine on this pad for short periods.
Not indestructible – Three-Dog-Truck – North Carolina
The first night I received this item, we put it in the crate of our 5-year-old pit bull. When we came to let him out the next morning, he had completely shredded the fabric on both sides of the mat and pulled out all the stuffing.
Not a product I would recommend for any dog that likes to chew, despite the name “Crypton Super Fabrics”
Zero Stuffing – 001101 – New England
This is a terrible “mat” – there is almost no stuffing whatsoever. The fabric seems to be of high quality, but it’s nothing more than a liner; the picture and description make it look/sound like it’s 1″-2″ thick, but in reality it’s less than 1/4″. Very, very disappointed. Went to Costco and got two very nice beds for the same price, and threw this in the car as a seat cover.
