Just got Mizuno Men’s Wave Creation 12 Running Shoe Not what I expected…By DuncanI finally found a store locally to try the new Wave Creation 12′s. I have been really excited about these shoes for a long time! Unfortunately they were not what I expected. The shoe is lightweight and feels good in transition, but overall is much narrower than past Mizunos that I have owned. The straps that keep the tongue in place rubs the side of my feet and the experience very uncomfortable. I tried many other shoes and chose a pair of Nike Vomero 5s. Myself I am not a big Nike Fan, but these shoes really surprised me! I have this StarTech.com SV231QDVIUA 2 Port Quad Monitor Dual-Link DVI USB KVM Switch with Audio and Hub Reasonably priced quad monitor DVI, but some issuesBy AnsuryThis is the only reasonably priced DVI I could find for sharing 3-4 monitors w/DVI connections. I’m running 3 monitors at 1920×1200 and *that* works perfectly with my 3 Hanns G 27.5″. The issue (as is often the case with KVMs, for some reason…seen it before) is the keyboard.I noticed some ‘oddness’ about the keyboard behavior almost immediately. Almost immediately I noticed the KVM was “forgetting” keypresses, and worst of all–sometimes a key would get “stuck” (even though I only pressed it once normally) and the KVM would output “fffffffffffffffffffff” for a single keypress. After that happening a few times (in the span of 1-2 hours, so it’s not a minor issue), needless to say it’s not going to work. And no, I don’t have some expensive $120 keyboard that requires special software or whatever, this is just a plain USB Dell keyboard–the most basic you can get! The mouse at least (which is a higher end Logitech mouse), did seem to work fine.My solution was to use my old single monitor IOgear KVM for the keyboard/mouse and audio (which means I might have been able to look for a slightly cheaper quad monitor KVM?), and so I’m just hitting two buttons to change PCs. Not ideal but not a show stopper for me.Design and quality wise, I can’t complain – this is a nice big, heavy, durable feeling KVM that’s well labeled. My only other complaint about this KVM is that it doesn’t come with any wires at all – so don’t forget those. You’d think for this price they’d include those, but yeah there are quite a few wires involved. It was simple to unpack, assemble, start up for the first time with a few of my preferences factored in the first time. The computer comes with a Getting Started type of manual that’s quite thorough for that purpose. There is no expanded user manual, but there is a repair manual available online. The machine is 64-bit operating system capable, but how well that works, depends upon implementation.I this product with Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit, 6G figuring that would keep me up with technology. Wrong. It put me ahead of technology (more than it could deliver). The 64-bit version hickups badly at times, and is much slower than when its running with the 32-bit version, per tech support at Dell. I should hope Something works better than what I have now. The installed version has terrible synchronization problems with programs running multiple threads. Such that I about gave up on the program. But I can’t simply install the 32-bit – I have to get another disk (this is an OEM install). Dell says although they did not ship me a 32-bit version of the program, they offered several options, one of which I took. I’m writing this as I am placing the order, and will come back here after gaining some experience. Dell also says the ultimate version of Windows is faster still, but I declined, for reasons of price.Most controls are well placed. I’d have preferred a larger Enter key.
