Just got this Sony Alpha SLTA55VL DSLR with Translucent Mirror Technology (Black) w/ Sony SAL 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 DT AF Lens NPFW50 Filter Kit Wide Angle Lens 16GB DavisMAX Super Bundle Extremely SatisfiedBy EricaAkI bought this camera as an upgrade to the Sony A350 and I am glad I made the change. I have not shot a lot of pictures but the changes in the A55 have made shooting exciting again. The features and options on this camera fit my abilities as a novice but produces images that look pro. I did a lot of research on this camera while I waited for the funds to become available to buy it, plus it was not released until Oct 2010. In those months I have read negative and positive reviews and still feel the good WAY outweighs the bad. Do some research to make sure this is the camera for you. I am using it as a step up to my next camera which will be professional. I am hoping to use it to take event photos both indoor and outdoor and going to dabble in some sporting events experimenting with the 10fps even though that is not really the strong point of this camera. I was going to buy directly from Sony when I accidentally stumbled onto this kit and quickly changed my mind since Sony also could only back order it for me. The kit comes with everything a beginner needs to move to that next level. It all works for my camera, Sony only sold the camera and lens. I would have had to get all the accessories and where I live I just can’t run down the street. It was nice to get everything I needed to start in one box.
