Regardless of where you live recycling needs to be a part of your life.  Problems with having sufficient room to recycle can arise in the smaller confines of living in an apartment.  Even if it is a little more time consuming to recycle, it is important and has to be done continuously.

The majority of big apartment complexes have various sorts of recycling tubs in there garbage areas.  If your complex has a set up like this make sure to use it.  Simply dump sorted waste into the appropriate container and you are finished.  Helping the earth can be that effortless.

If you live in a building where the recycling tubs are not available you can usually contact the city garbage office and ask to get smaller containers delivered.  These are usually the blue and green shaded tubs you see all over.  On certain days of the week the waste removal service will pick up the different sorts of garbage, so make sure keep track of the pick up days.

Arrange your garbage thoroughly.  Watch for the big three; plastic, glass and paper.  Most processing facilities have effective separating systems, but it important to get the main varieties of materials segregated before they are picked up.

Make sure to have the tubs on hand so that it is quick to find them when you have garbage.  It usually easiest to put recycling next to your existing trash can so when you are about to throw something out you also have the choice to recycle.

Preserving the earth starts one step at a time.  Do your part by recycling where you live, in the office and when you go out.  Its simple and just calls for a couple of minutes of your time every week.  As soon as you begin recycling it becomes a painless habit you can Keep with for a long time.
